Can anyone tell me the correlation between kaplan scores and realGMAT. I wrote couple of Kaplan tests and I scored 640 in both of them with Math at 50 and verbal at 33. I felt the kaplan RC's to be really ridiculous. Can anyone share their experience on kaplan. I have my exam next month and I am planning to give GMATPREP 1 next week. But this low verbal score has killed my confidence.
i think my first kaplan score was around 500
my best kaplan score was around 650
my actual gmat was a 780
kaplan is a POS. the verbal questions arent written in english, and the math problems are vague and all about tricks. there was even a math question i saw duplicated in a kaplan book, and the kaplan practice cat and each had a different answer.
take the GMATPrep cat to really gauge where you are.
Even thought the score doesn't correlate with your true potentialas far as the score, they are still great practice for timing and the basics. Personally, I prefer the PR tests over Kaplan, but practicing your timing is essential for test day.

I totally agree. Kaplan is crap !! Time spent on playing "Half-life" will help you more in increasing your GMAT score than that spent on the RCs from the Kaplan tests. GMATPrep is the only true indicator of your potential.
