Considering how bad I am at standardized test Im pretty excited with this score. However, I can do much better. I totally lost my composure and freaked out for 3 to 4 minutes of quant and basically had to just skip questions until I could get my mind back. Did the same thing for teh verbal section and kept reading a passage and couldnt remember any of it so I skipped thru the questions. I had been doing well in practice tests and my fear was that if you screw this up you are going to have another **** month of studying for the GMAT. I thouroughly expected a 630ish score to pop up on the screen and was amazed with a 690. Now that I have a solid score, I feel like I could go back in there real confident knowing I am already going to get into a great school with a 690, and maybe pull out a 720-740, my Q' in practice were 45-47 and my verbals were 42-44. But I am not going to retake it, my apps are already in at UNC Duke, vandy and emory....if those go south maybe ill retake it in the spring...but are they really going to think that different of me with a 710-720 as opposed to a 690?

Nope, I don't think they'll see much difference between a 690 and 720. Its really not that big of a deal. Either way, with all of those schools you're in the middle 80 percent with your GMAT score. Now, its up to the rest of your application.
When did you complete your app for Emory? Did you get a chance to visit the campus? If so, what did you think, and what did you think of the interview?
Obviously, I'm an Emory hopeful as well.
