I'm pretty new here and appreciate everyone's help so far. I just started studying for the GMAT last week for an early June date and wanted to know when everyone started getting good at answering GMAT questions? Did you struggle in the first few week of studying? Did you start getting a large percentage of questions right after 2, 3, 4 weeks? Please let me know.

Dude,

I have been studying it for a while and I still get wrong answers :), but I still want to answer your question (and would try not to be a wimp)

I think it wouldn't matter in any case. Every one is different. Some people are more stronger in Quant and some are better in Verbal.

Check your strengths and weaknesses before you move further. Take a full CAT exam to analyze your strengths and weaknesses. This would help you to get better understanding of your own self. Then you can target the weak areas.

You must master the basics (pr book, kaplan book) and then get into more advanced (MGMAT series and 1000 questions set) while taking practice tests...once you master this move onto the gmat club challenges and to the GMAC tests last.

Just like everyone says it really depends on the skills you have before starting gmat prep. I found that I hit small plateaus once I hit certain score levels and consistently getting the score you want vs. getting it 1 out of 4 times is a lot different. I noticed my improvement came in big burst but seemed to coincide with the prep material I was using. Example if you don't know anything about geometry and that is killing you on your practice test and then you buy a geometry book and work through it you will instantly get the easy geometry questions improving your score but harder questions and higher scores take more work. Just keep at it.

it is a constant work.
unfortunatelly evey question can be asked in so many different ways. it is tricky, so you just have to keep pushing.
