Just sat the GMAT for my second time and got a (49q, 40v) but only a 710 overall? On my GMATPrep I got a 720 with a 48-40? Any thoughts on this?
I think a 48/40 yields closer to a 710 than a 720, but could go either way.
Two possible answers:
1) They are skewing the total scores lower
2) You scored on the lowest spectrum of a 49Q & 40V (meaning borderline 48Q & 39V). The GMATPrep, as accurate as it is, has not been updated in over a year.
My guess would be the former. I don't think a 49/40=710 is a travesty, however, it is on the lower end.
