are you seeing or feeling any improvement? if the answer is no and you really just hate studying for it, there is no shame in a 630. accept it and work on your resume.

Hi, I know the feeling, just did the Gmat in May and got a 640. Yes it feels hopeless and the thought of attempting another DS question is frustrating. Just give yourself some time off from the GMAT. Get your drive back, and you will for sure, if the 700 is critical to your admission you will get it! On the other hand if it really isnt and you have better things to focus on that will enable a successful application, then mebbe you dont need to give the GMAT again.Either ways Good Luck!!

I am seriously considering just giving up on trying to get a 700. I just feel like it's impossible for someone like me to attain, and the thought of studying for 2 hours a day and taking practice tests every weekend again makes me want to cringe considering I've been doing that for the past 2+ months, and studying casually for the last 6 for a measley 630. Maybe I am just not meant to score well. Plus in order to make round one, I'd have to retake it in late August and that just seems so close :(. But if I were to aim for 660-680 or so for a part-time program I could take it in November. :-( MAN! I hate these types of decisions. I can't decide if I am making excuses or being logical here.

Jlola21, what are you talking about? The fisrt round will be in November!!! Lots of time. 630 shows your potential to reach any score. All the best thing that I've got in my life I earned by hard work. For me if it's hard it means valuable. If it's a piece of cake it means nothing. Have a good sleep and then wake up to fight!

Don't give up hope! Study hard and your score will improve. I suffered two disappointments (640, 650) before I finally earned a score that I was happy with. I also felt discouraged at times, but improvements in practice CAT scores and well timed days off really motivated me to keep going. Do you know anyone else studying for the GMAT? Maybe you can study together and try to motivate each other.
