So I started GMATPrep, after review of the basics and practice on paper, not scored. This is what happened:
Saturday: GMATPrep1 - 740 (Q49, V42)
Sunday: GMATPrep2 - 770 (Q49, V48)
Is this right, can the software be bugged somehow, because I am using Vista or something? I got 10-11 quant questions wrong in each of those tests. I'd really like to think that I am smart enough for 770, but come on.
I tried to get a second opinion yesterday afternoon and bought access to MGMAT and did the first test. The quant section was HARD and I panicked. Still it gave me 700 (Q44, V41). Should I be happy or what?

Yes, from my experience, you can get up to 2-4 questions wrong for a 51Q, and up to 13 wrong for a 50Q, as long as you nail the extremely hard questions (and most of your mistakes were on easy questions).
It's not the quantity of questions that you get wrong, but more the quality of them... ie, the more difficult questions you get correct, the higher your score will be.
