Hi,
I just started studying if you could really even call it that. I have never touched the verbal, and I do some quan problems when I get home from work. I took the free GMATCLUB test and got 22 / 37 as my first attempt ever. I finished with 40 minutes to spare. I just took 800 score quan test and I also got a 22 out of 37 which they called a 40 (finished with like 25 minutes to spare). I have nothing but time for this test. My goal is after I secure a full time offer (I'm an undergrad) to start really studying to take this test in the Spring semester like March or April. Where should I begin? My goal is a 750.

If you're going to take the test in March/April 2010, I suggest you wait. You don't need to start yet. But for starters, get some books from www.manhattangmat.com
So is it actually bad to prepare to much? I would think the more time the better? Anyone else?
Well it depends. If you are currently at a 450, then yes, I would say spend a year to get to your goal of 750. It's hard to say right now how much studying you need. Try taking a GMAT Prep test (software downloadable at www.mba.com). You don't need to worry about "saving" these exams yet since 6 months from now you won't remember a thing from it.
Wait - ideally you should study for 3 months and be done with it. I would not go beyond that limit - definitely not more than 6 months. You must be really bad to need to study so much.

Hi I just took the gmat prep, but only had time for the quan plus i didnt study for the verbal yet I got a 45 (13 wrong, first 2 wrong, and 4 times had at least two wrong in a row.) My goal is a 750. What's my next step if I rather not wait to start studying.
Are there any explanations of the actual gmat problems, because I still don't understand 2-3 of them even after starring at the answers.
Also what will i need on Q to get a 750?
