Are any adcom members active in the forum who could speak to the value of a perfect score?
I've found numerous posts around the web stating that increasing form a 730 or 750 to an 800 has no real value. That logic is insane. Cognitive ability is the single best predictor of success in school and career (any adcoms read The Bellcurve?). Schools aren't allowed to straight up test for IQ, but the GMAT test is extremely close.
What's going on here? Do schools really want the brightest of the best, and look for the top performers, without blatantly stating it?
