I plan on applying to Agronomy or Plant Breeding graduate programs at Minnesota, Wisconsin, and other MidWest schools in the near future. Ideally in my time there, I'd also like to enroll in a joint MBA program. Can anyone point me towards programs with well-regarded agribusiness courses/professors with real-world experience in the seed or agriconsulting industries? Washington University in St. Louis seems to be a given because of its proximity to Monsanto, but I'd like to learn about programs that aren't so tied to a single corporate player. In my research of schools, I have not been able to find a discussion of this concentration.

Cargill's HQ is maybe 15 miles from Minnesota Carlson. It doesn't get any more "agribusiness" than Cargill.
Agribusiness seems to be relatively underrepresented in graduate business schools compared to the size of the industry, even at Midwestern schools that have undergraduate agribusiness or applied agronomics programs. If you can't find a business school with the specialty you want, you can at least be close to the action in terms of internships and networking.
