I've asked HBS admissions about this, but they remain coy.
Obviously, I know applications are evaluated holistically, as virtually every admissions committee claims. Nevertheless, if all things are basically equal, does already having a master's degree potentially help? And, if that master's degree was from Harvard, does that also give a little extra edge? I'd think so, given that I'm viewing it as this "self" version of legacy. Then again, maybe it's not like that at all.
Overall, I'd like to think this could be the icing - or at least a cute candle - to the cake, but I'm not sure it's even that. Thoughts?
