I've read that there isn't a huge job market for MBAs in the UK/EU, and I just thought I'd see if any other Americans have attempted to pursue a job in the UK/EU in their MBA program and what that process was like. Are the only jobs available with sponsorship for U.S. companies in their EU-based offices? Did you have success recruiting with any UK/EU based companies? Both? Neither?
As a little background, I work in investment consulting on the research side and am attending a T25 MBA program this fall. I'm planning on recruiting in asset management and maybe a little for ops/BD roles in tech. I briefly lived in London while pursuing a Masters degree and would very much so like to move back. Trying to figure out whether that's a pipe dream.

Go to gov.uk and look for Tier 2 list of sponsors. If the company you would like to work for is in this list you can apply and state that you will need sponsorship. There are multiple other requirements, but those are easy to satisfy if you are into asset management or corporate tech. The only potential problem is labour market test, which your prospective employer has to carry out in order to prove they can't find anyone for this role 1. in the UK 2. in the EU (but again, this is more a 'tick' in the list than a real test).
