Hey all,

I have given my GMAT today and have got a score of 670 (Q:49 and V:31). My AWA has been good and am expecting a good score in that too.

I am Indian national with 7 years (by June 2011) of IT experience.

What would be my chance of getting into the Top 20-30 colleges.

670 is a great score for Top 20-30 schools, we need more information about your profile though to make a better assessment. Congrats!

I have given my GMAT today and have got a score of 670 (Q:49 and V:31). My AWA has been good and am expecting a good score in that too.

I am Indian national with 7 years (by June 2011) of IT experience.

What would be my chance of getting into the Top 20-30 colleges.

Hi gnk, welcome to GMATClub!

You have a good score, though a bit unbalanced. I think it's a competitive score for top 20-30 schools but of course gmat is only one of many pieces in your application.

The issue I see is that you will be in a very competitive pool (Indian candidates).

670 is competitive score to enter top 20 - 30 colleges provided the rest of your application competitive as well.
As other has said the competition level for applicants from India is very high then it may be another X-factor to be considered.

If you have time to improve on your verbal, you should give gmat second shot.

gnk welcome to the gmatclub.

670 is a good score for 20-30 top b schools. I will not suggest to retake, give mroe time on your apps and make them strong enough. You can do this with 670!
