Hi all,

I just took my GMAT for the first time and I got a 710 score. However, my Quan (50) and Verbal (35) scores were really far apart! As such, I'm worried whether the disparity between the two scores will be an issue and if such, whether it'll be advisable to retake the exam. Definitely more than happy to hear any sort of advice on this matter. Thank you!

You have a great score. I don't think you need to retake the test. It won't matter much IMO. Keep all of us updated about your progress with apps!

Absolutely not. 710 is good enough. Your Quant score is almost perfect.
U should rather focus on the apps now!

I don't think you should retake. A 50-35 split is somewhat wide, but it's not unheard of and definitely not worth retaking unless it's a matter of personal gratification or something. If not, it's a perfectly competitive score. Good luck with your applications.

depends... what schools u looking at? if you have low gpa and aiming top 10 AND you feel you could improve then i suggest retake. HOWEVER, if you felt you gave it all or "overachieved" then i suggest not.

If you plan for HWS (or a scholarship at top 20), than it is a definite retake.

Good quant btw.

Your scores are too wide, you definitely need to retake. Best of luck. You should aim for atleast 770 until you are content.
