 I should have looked at your profile earlier; you are a math guy/person. Most of us here are the same.

Getting verbal up for non-native speakers is hard, no doubt. Will you think that reading fiction is a dumb advice? I think it helps overall development of verbal skills tested on the GMAT: grammar, basic vocabulary, reading, essay, structure to some extent.

May sound primitive.... but....

CR will require practice.

Overall I would recommend Kaplan's Workbooks and the Book with CD. If you are really short on cash, I would even sacrifice OG for those.

I hope somebody will add smth here. I think I missed smth but don't remember what.

If you want more book suggestions, check the BOOK Reviews section. I hope I don't need to show where it is.

Probably Urugway is not the greatest distribution center for Kaplan materials, but I strongly recommend the Kaplan's workbook.

I thought PR Wrkbk was a cheap magic ball shop compared to Kaplan's.

What PR often does it invents rules and then makes up questions about those rules. So, as long as you are practicing their questions, you are safe, but when you get to the GMAT, those rules work in 10% of cases and you are so overwhelmed that you forget them anyway.

I thoguth Kaplan did not offer tricks but strategies - ability to crack anything rather than have an approach for every little question.

Hi

I have company I scored 570 570 580 and am brave enough to take it again 8-)
I am concentrating on Kaplan as it seems to be the recommended approach and I did not find PR too helpful either

Hi, jabs

Can you tell me what your score distribution was?
I am trying to imporve my verbal, specially in SC and RC, as I found those as the most difficult parts of the test.

Regarding math or quant, I am working with the OG first, and then I will focus on Kaplan and Kaplan 800.

I will be taking the exam on August or September.

good luck

May be asking after 20 years is a bad idea but, it makes so much sense now!
But in your mind does reading novels help?
