I can understand ur problem man.As my freind has mentioned above,ur 700+ scores in mgmat and gprep are clear indicators that u deserve something better. My personal suggestion to u is
1)Just recollect those questions that troubled u in ur gmat and practice only those.
2)Try to improve ur timing strategy by practicing more varieties of cats.DOnt worry about scores, simply practice for time mgmt skills.

Thanks a lot IntotheUnknown.

Thanks a lot for the motivation. I will surely give it another try. One thing if you can kindly confirm it to me, will my previous 660 be not considered by the universities? I just want to have a better understanding of the situation, as in where i stand right now. Have i completely lost all my chances when it comes to GMAT score consideration in the admission process. I will surely give it one more try but i don't know when shall i give it, as in before submitting all the other requirements, or can i give it a later time and then let the schools know about my score. I wanted to apply to all my target schools at most in the second rounds because i am an international student and cannot leave the application to the third round. Currently i don't have an idea on how to go about the process now that i have scored so low and will have to take a third GMAT. Please if you can chalk down a summarized plan for me keeping in view my situation , i will be very grateful. Thanks a lot once again for the advice; i was too down and lost after all my efforts went down the drain through a quirk of fate, but now slowly energizing again

As far as I know, each report contains all your scores so far. That means that those universities you decided to send the report of your 2nd attempt to were notified of your new as well as of your old score. They are aware of the 660 and they might consider it, but the fact that you got 590 in a later attempt makes the 660 shine less.

To be honest I can't advise you on how to structure your further application process as it differs from university to university. Some might accept if you hand in a further GMAT score after submitting all your other documents, others won't review your app until it is complete. You might want to discuss this issue (along with the question of what they are doing if somebody hands in two scores, with the latter one being worse, just as it is the case with you) with the admissions office(s) of your target school(s).
