Hello guys,
Here is my story, but before some short background, I am an electrical engineer, worked at IT company for the last 4 years.
so two weeks ago I took the gmat exam for the second time and score 700 (Q50, V35).
(I don't really count my first attempt cause I was very unprepared)
I study for the second attempt about 3 intense months.
my strategy was the following:
1) went over all the theory stuff (MGMT SC, Power Score CR, Aristotle SC, material from my Kaplan course...)
2) went over all the OG 12, Verbal Review questions, and some more material I came across (such as RC 99, paper test, Kaplan exercises..)
3) reading a lot of fiction books (more than 2000 pages overall)
4) after doing all of the following I felt tremendous improvement and started going over the mock test in the last month.
some results:
MGMT CAT 1 - 770
MGMT CAT 3 - 780
MGMT CAT 4 - 750
MGMT CAT 5 - 780
MGMT CAT 6 - 740
GMAT PREP 1 - 740
GMAT PREP 2 - 740
(second time)
GMAT PREP 1 - 780
GMAT PREP 2 - 770
5) actual GMAT exam:
I scheduled my exam to 12:30, I was very anxious the hours before the test.
I thought I didn't success in the quant section cause I got very simple question by the end of the section. the verbal section felt OK, but when I saw the final score I was pretty disappointed..
I am planning to try another time in about 2-3 weeks, I would love to hear what strategy you would recommend me to take.
