Hello Everyone,
I have been visiting the forum since last couple of months. I am really impressed by people who are not selfish and believe in sharing ideas. Now, it is time for me to share my experience and become a member of this community.
Before I get my horrified story, here are my scores:
Feb, 23 2012 Q45 V12----460
March,31 2011 Q39 V21 ---510
Before I took my first GMAT I did not do much preparation but study all
Manhattan GMAT set. Also, I have completed its CATs. I got fluctuating scores from 530 to 620 in six of them.
Until last two months I didn’t touch the books at all. I was almost always busy at work. On the otherside, my goal was to get 600-620. I guess I misjudged the exam and not study hard enough to increase my score esspecially in verbal.
Last two months:
I have half studied CR Bible (covered most common five topics)
I solved OG critical reasoning, SC. And 6 test of old official GMAT questions (the ones called book1, book2….etc.)
I finished NOVA data sufficiency and solved OG12 quant questions.
As you may notice that I put more effort on quant so increased my quant raw score. Compared to quant, verbal is really headache for me.
I feel like whatever I do I cannot improve my score on verbal. You are absultely right to say or think that I did not try hard enough. But again, I FEEL LIKE!!!
Now, after the disaster that happened two days ago, I have to admit that I do respect the GMAT and ready to dedicate myself for a solid preparation especially for verbal part.
I set up a new goal to get 40V. What do you think guys? As I told you above, I read many post regarding verbal preparation. I think most of them really helpful. What I am looking for now is little encouragement from you.
What would you do, if you were me?
I am looking forward to having your recommendations.
Thank you for reading.
