Hi Guys,
Just wanted to share my thoughts here. I took GMAT first time in 2009 and scored 700 (Q50/V34).
I somehow decided to retake the examination and targeted for 740+, but it was a total shock for me when I saw my result. 640 (49Q/29V) .. I'm down and shattered .. well that is another thing.. but Why I'm posting this here is because I want to discuss something significant !!
I know this much better because I really worked hard and clearly remember the examination then and now. What surprised me is the level of Quant and Verbal sections. Needless to say, quant is much more tough now than it was 3 years back in 2009.
But Quant is not that big issue here for a person like me who is from Maths background. I have only one suggestion for such people who are retaking the exam after 2 years or so.
Guys, please please please .. do not depend on the materials of 2009 or so,
especially get Manhattan 4th edition SC guide, download it or buy it. Believe me questions are much more trickier than they were in 2009. I'm still not able to figure out where I went wrong in verbal section. Though from my point i did fine, but as score tells I screwed totally ..
My performance on
MGMAT and GMAT PREP
GMAT prep 1 and 2 : 720 and 750
MGMAT 1- 680
MGMAT 2 - 670
MGMAT 3- 730
MGMAT 4- 640 ( Got a power cut and lost internet connection and lost approximately 15-20 mins here )
MGMAT 5 - 720
Now I would suggest that best would be to give GMATPREP again and again, it will give you more and more new questions, and identify the weak CONCEPTS in those tests. Work on them .. you will just do fine ..
I don't know what to do now .. probably will go for it again .. because I'm still not able to digest my performance in real GMAT ..
Cheers
