I received a 710 on my GMAT's recently, and wanted to get a general consensus of whether this is a good enough score for top schools such as HBS or Stanford. I know that the medians at both schools are 730, which is why the 710 concerns me a bit. I'm an Asian male at a BB investment bank with a degree from an Ivy League.
Because I'm a traditional applicant (being an Asian male doesn't make things easier, neither does being a banker), if I can find the time should I retake? I got 84% for Q and 83% for V (so both over the 80% that Adcoms like to see), but I think I scored lower than expected on verbal because it was my first try and I was mentally fried by the time I ended the quant. In practice exams I can usually score in the 40-44 range.
Is it worth taking again if I can get around a 750? I think it would (especially considering my typical background), but I've heard on other threads people saying a 710 is just a neutral score so it won't help or hurt. But would a 750 (with this background) really even give THAT much of an edge?
