I'm am going to make a really hard prediction today. Its been 3 months into my official GMAT prep and while juggling my regular job and cutting down on social life, fitness, and other things that I love doing, I still have not made it to my target score. My current score is 670. I read lots of success debriefs and only after you take a few tests you appreciate the meaning behind each and every word in them. E.g. initially 'Q51' did not carry sufficient intensity in meaning to me until I took a few tests.
Anyway, believe it or not, when I actually look back and think, the biggest hurdle has not been over-confidence, insufficient reading appetite or a jumbled-up preparation strategy. It actually has been the impatience to put in the time stuck to my chair while preparing for GMAT. Don't get me wrong, once in the zone, hardcore efficiency kicks in; but experiencing a wall bigger than I initially thought it would be has unexpectedly made my preparation time to go from an initially estimated 1 month to 3 months up till now.
