Hi all,
this is my first post on the group..well just took the GMAT.. got 720 on the first attempt.. Although I had expected better, but its a decent score ( I guess..) taking into account that I started preparing just 15 days back..
My Quant score is 50 and that on verbal is 37.
I am writing to express my gratitude to all the people on the forum..and especially to the people involved at the backend of this wonderful site.. I owe most of my success to the club..
Thanks once again.. will keep posting on the group.

Yes do tell us about your GMAT Verbal section. What kind of questions did you see in the first 10. What type of SC's, etc, etc. How much time did you have during the last ten? Also at any point during your verbal did you feel like you were getting a string of "easy questions".

Feel free to elaborate as much as you possibly can on the verbal section.

Hi,
Thanks AJB, about the verbal section, it was difficult.. , I had decided that I will do good on the first 15 questions, whatever time it takes.. so that I could build a good score.. but believe me after the 12-13 questions, it became difficult even to comprehend the statements in the question.. I had to devote more time to answer them.., the most difficult questions came towards the end.. when I had just 1 minute left per question.. and I think that's the time I made many mistakes..I also had to guess on some of the questions..
About the new type of questions, there was a type I hadn't come across.. it was a small passage followed by a blank. the question was which of the choices given fits the blank most appropriately.
so that was it..

congratulation
actually it is a great score
i seek an advice for my gmat test (it will be my 2nd attempt)
i think i'm doing fine on the quant (except for the probabilities)
but i'm so bad at the verbal
i hope you can tell me what kind of books i can use so i can improve my verbal score
