SO refreshing to find someone else strong on verbal/weaker on quant - I'd say there's less than 10% in that situation on this forum!

Strange - maybe reflects the type of person applying for MBAs (which is a bit worrying for a humanities student already fretting about the quant aspect of an MBA) or also the number of people without English as mother tongue (I hate you all, you STILL manage to pull off amazing scores, even with that barrier!)

English is almost my mother tongue, I spoke a different language when I was a baby. I have some experience with languages as I can speak 4 and know basics of 2 more languages. So I can relate to people whose mother tongue isn't English. Their strength is that they learn English from ABC. They know all the grammar. They know how the language works. Idioms are the most difficult part of GMAT for them. Since GMAT is all about grammar, it's no surprise, they can pull off high scores on verbal (70%+).
