Thanks all

@ Farhanc85

I analysed every mock I have taken and I wrote every mock under the exam condition, Yes I did skip the IP and AWA in my last few mocks just because I know what to expect in each of them. I checked my mistakes in every mock and solved the question again and again. I do really well when I study the Verbal, specially the CR and SC, and an average on RC. My Quantitative is usually above 45.

I think I have more of a psychological issue with the GMAT as you said rather then anything else.

Now the school rejected to accept me with my current school, I have to consider taking the GMAT again and look for different school for next year!

Any advice from the reader of this post will be very appreciated.

Thanks

ots.

Hi All,

Here we go again, my 7TH test and I scored 510(Q42,V20)! My average mocks was 630, all above 600, I actually scored 680 in my latest kaplan mock. Yes I am still in disbelieve!

My test results for the last 6 exams were as follow

450-(Q39,V14)
530-(Q36,V27)
500-(Q42,V19)
560-(Q47,V21)
540-(Q44,V20)
550-(Q39,V27)

I feel that GMAT is not for me, I tried EVEYTHING, one-to-one classes, group classes, different materials, different tests, full time/ part time study and different centers. nothing worked for me.

I have 7 years work experience, a BSc and MSc in engineering, was accepted to the program last year but it was to late to get the GMAT on time.

So, I wrote to the university to explain my situation and now waiting for its decision, my 560 is way below its average of 650, so it is unlikely I will start on the full-time course next month and I am really, really disappointed.

Thanks

You have been bogged down by the pressure to complete GMAT. I believe your 7 attempts have been within a span 13 months. Honestly, Thats like less than 2 months for 1 attempt. Did you make an error log during any of those attempts? Did you look back at all your mistakes that you committed while studying and tried to figure out why did you commit that mistake? Did you analyze your mocks? Did you write mocks under the same pressure environment as you are in while giving gmat? Your mocks during your last attempt was 680 but was it under a stressful condition. Did u skip IR and AWA during mocks?

So far I have gone through all your posts, there have been people trying to motivate you throughout your journey. Honestly, I don't think you are bad at all conceptually in Quant with a Q47 but Verbal definitely. Do you know all kinds of errors that you can commit in Verbal section? You have a psychological issue with GMAT rather than a conceptual issue. Look back and see if you didn't think about submitting your score to the college in a hurry, and just prepared for GMAT at your own pace, would you do better?

I can't even imagine how frustrating it would be but please do some self reflection before you hang your boots.
