Hi psymen,
With a 730/Q49, you have a score that every Business School would be happy with. As far as your IR score is concerned, many Business Schools have publicly stated that they don't consider an applicant's IR score as part of the Admissions Process, so you really have nothing to worry about there. I have never heard of anyone getting rejected from a Business School because of a low IR score either, so I'd say that you're all set when it comes to the GMAT "piece" of your application.
As far as applying to Harvard and Stanford, you have to understand that those schools receive so many applications from so many qualified applicants that each school will likely reject in excess of 90% of the applicants each year (and most, if not all, of those applicants are great applicants!). This is meant to point out that you need a strong OVERALL application and you might need help crafting those applications into the best that they can be. You might find that working with an Admissions Expert can make a big difference.
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
