its my first run for MBA application. i recently noticed from the internet that, lots of B-school,especially top tier schools, are conducting post-admission background check/verification,by working with third-party verification agency. In the past 10 years, this turns to be a standard procedure now after the first admission letter is released and candidates put deposit( thousands of USD ). this is called conditional-admission offer, or provisional admission offer.
the service fees that schools pay to the verification agency are actually coming from the candidates' deposit. also the agency will send email to the admitted candidates to ask for agreement of the service and pay fees(<100 $) again.
i am not talking about the money/fees. i just want to ask,
1, will the school process this check for every admitted student? like some top MBA programs admitted 500-1000 full-time students per year. Is it true that all new pr-admitted students will be verified ? or just some portion of students be "luckily" selected ?
2, if you know any B-school will process as standard, please leave the name of the school in this post. thanks a lot.
