Dear GMAT experts,
I gave my GMAT today, 12Feb 2016 and scored 560- Q35, V31.
Studied for nearly 2-3months+ with multiple resources. Math has been my weak point but even scored less in verbal.
But found even basic maths tough and realised I need lot of conceptual understanding let alone just solving problems.
Feel that practice verbal on own but for math dont know how to improve since upon seeing a question I literally go blank
Timing is a serious issue and on GMAT Prep 2 scored 450 and had to guess last 10 questions in both quant and verbal.
Looking to retake within a month and feel below resources stratrgy doesn't work for me.
Resources
- e-GMAT quant (finished all videos and some practice tests)
- e-GMAT verbal (finished strategies but less practice )
- Magoosh (finished majority of videos but less practice)
- DominateGMAT verbal (videos + some practice)
Any suggestion on how to improve Quant basic ability and score higher in math.
Really need help especially in quant. Multiple resources aren't helping and in DS usually get bombed

Hi SKI,
Raising your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores by 10 points each in 5 weeks is not a realistic goal. Since you've been studying a certain way for the last 2-3 months, you've likely developed some 'bad habits' that will take time to fix (and replace with new 'good habits'). Given your score goals, you'll likely need another 2-3 months of consistent, guided study.
1) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
2) How many hours do you spend on your studies in an average week?
3) How did you score on each of your practice CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?
