Hi all,
I am a first time poster who really need your advice as I found that I cannot do well in the Verbal paper when I did my CATs..
I did not take any course but studied with
Kaplan Premier 2017 and
OG (Verbal Review) 2017 since 1 Oct 2016 (I know it's a rush as I have to reach Universities application deadlines) and I am a non-native speaker.
Here comes some more background info of me for your reference and advice:
Expected Exam Date: 22 Nov 2016
Target score: 600+
My Recent CATs:
Kaplan CAT 1 (630, Q45V32)
Kaplan CAT 2 (660, Q47V33)
Kaplan CAT 3 (630, Q47V30)
GMAT Prep CAT 1 (610, Q46V28)
GMAT Prep CAT 2 (590, Q48V23)
*All CATs were done in the same format as real GMAT (2 eight mins break, with AWA/IR, etc.)
Hit-Rates from the OG (Verbal) 2017 (First attempt):
Critical Reasoning: 60%
Sentence Correction: 65%
Reading Comprehension: 75%
You might have noticed that my GMAT scores in CATs are declining (with Quant improving but Verbal deteriorating). I found that one of the reasons why my Verbal scored low is that I was very tired when I started the final paper.. I tried to take energy bar/ drink during the second break but it doesn't seem working..
I started getting worried as I have less than 10 days before participating the real exam..
What should I do to boost my verbal score? Or more practical, what should I do to boost my energy when doing the final paper?Need your good advice!!!
Million Thanks in advance!
Henry
