Hi All,
I have taken the exam two times (on 10/31/16 & 12/22/16). The first time I studied heavily using the EmpowerGmat course, which helped me increase my score from a 570 to 640 (Q44,V34). I knew I was not going to break a 700 on the exam considering my highest gmatprep practice test score was only a 670. However, the 640 did give me confidence to study on my own - mainly verbal using Empower and a combination of LSAT CR & RC, & Aristotle prep SC. I also did GMATprep practice questions - all of CR and SC for which I was 75-80% accurate. To my surprise, I scored once again 640 with the same subscores. However, my RC and CR substantially improved while SC decreased. During the second exam (12/22), I felt very confident on both sections and thought I did extremely well on SC but I was shocked. I did fall behind in timing on verbal - around 20th question only had 28 minutes left to answer remaining questions with 2 short RC passages left. This led me to guess on at least 3 CR problems. For Math, my biggest weakness is geometry so I tend to punt those quickly and on the 12/22 exam I probably flat out guessed on 4 questions.
I am hoping to take the exam in the next 6 weeks - mid February and plan to apply to schools such as UCLA & Ross in round 3. Any advice on how to tackle the test and break the 700 barrier would be great! I hope to score 720+. Also, I have attached my ESRs from both tests - 10/31 & 12/22. Maybe I am not noticing something that other people might.

I'm sorry to hear about your struggles, seemingly stuck at one plateau. I have a few things to say.
First of all, as you may know, Magoosh offers a 50-point score guarantee. That would mean a 690+ or your money back. Magoosh rarely has to issue this refund, because almost all of the students who follow the requirements of our guarantee score much more than 50 additional points. That's one option to consider.
I will say, though, that it's extremely hard to break that 700 threshold. Many people on GC have books or classes or online services that provide them all the information they need, but relatively few of them crack 700. Students often don't realize that it takes considerably more than simply the right information to get an elite score. It takes the cultivation of the habits of excellence.

The level at which you are stuck right now reflects less about the information you have received and more about the depth of your commitment and dedication. Are you willing to take your studying and your diligence to the next level? Are you willing to commit yourself to everything that excellence entails? The Great Law of Mediocrity states that if you are only willing to put in about the same amount of time & energy & effort & focus as are most people, then you probably will wind up with the results that most people get. If you want exceptional results, you much commit yourself to being exceptional in every aspect of your studies. That blog, and the blogs to which it is linked, will explain numerous concrete steps you can take to move your game to the next level.
