Hello:
I took the GMAT last week and felt I was caught off-gaurd on the Quant section. The questions were more diificult than almost any question in OG 10th ed. Questions seemed more inline with Kaplan. Lots of abstract PS and DS questions that didn't have logical shortcuts--or at least ones that I was able to recognize.
Also, I was expecting medium-bin questions to start and received two difficult questions that immediately took me out of my comfort zone. I was rattled early and really never fully recovered.
Is Pearson already involved with the test? I ask because I feel that the actual GMAT questions were much closer to the GMATPrep and Kaplan than to the POWERPREP. I felt the actual verbal was similar my Prep material, if not slightly less difficult.
I spent 1-year preparing and my practice scores were:
Kaplan 1-540
Kaplan2 -580
Kaplan 3 580
Power Prep- 660
GMAT Prep, (quant only) 44
I will more than likely take the exam again. I was hoping for low to mid 600's
Has anyone else has a similar experience?
Best Regards,
Joe
