Hey Joe...Cheer up! You can do much better next time.
From my experience, the actual test seems much tougher than the practice ones. To beat it, you just need more practice. Even though you say you prepared for 1 year, it appears that you may not have concentrated much on the key areas such as the few concepts that get tested again and again, practice, timing...
For Math, work from the basics, keep solving challenges, learn from the mistakes, improve speed and you'll be on your way to a much higher score next time. Aim high, not just low 600's - you are too close to that!

Some of the sets are available for purchase and I think its pretty cheap and worth investing money.
Secondly, you can check out Math Forum as there are good problems and solutions being discussed regularly.
