Having studied and taken the GMAT before, some tips prior to taking the exam:
1. Develop a solid studying habit
Though you may be working full time, try to find time to come up with a study schedule and always stick to that schedule. Even if it is studying for 30 minutes a day, getting into that routine will help you understand the concepts better and feel more comfortable with the exam.
2. Understand problem areas
After you take any practice tests or practice problems, try to understand what areas you are struggling with (some platforms, such as
MGMAT, break out the question types by difficulty so you can see which areas you need the most work on). Some people may find creating an
error log useful.
3. Relax the day before the exam
While it is important to continue doing practice problems leading up the exam, it is vital to relax the day before the exam to get a good night's sleep and take your mind off of study materials for one day.
