Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I am not able to turn my head around my 2 GMAT Scores.
GMAT 1: V- 35 , Q- 50; Overall- 710
GMAT 2: V- 38, Q- 49; Overall- 710
What I can't understand is that on a net basis my score in the retake increased by 2 points. How is this that my score did not increase at all! Is there a way to address this discrepancy?
Any suggestion welcome.

While your verbal score went up a bit, the quant score went down a bit. The overall score remained constant. This is not unusual and is a perfectly normal situation.
The term "net basis" is not meaningful within the context of the GMAT's scoring system.
The overall scores are calculated separately from the sectional scores. Scores displayed to you fall within a "band" of performances.
The scores that you see are only rough estimates. The GMAT internally uses a more advanced scoring system that takes into account a variety of factors. GL!

First off, both of these Scores are outstanding - so you can comfortably apply to any Schools that interest you. As such, another retest is probably not necessary. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

In answer to your immediate question, one Scaled Score 'point' is not a standard unit of scoring, so while increasing your Scaled Scores generally leads to a higher overall Score, that does not always happen. This is ultimately due to 'rounding' in the Scoring Algorithm. While I understand your interest in why your Scores came out the way that they did, as an individual Test Taker you do not have any control over that scoring process. The more relevant questions are ultimately about your application plans.
1) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
2) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
