Got 700, a good score I think, but balance is not good - Q50, V33
I'm a Korean aiming at top 7.

How's my chance?
Do I need to retake GMAT?

I honestly don't know. A 700 is a great score. A 33 verbal is 69%, a little low I think. I would say it depends on a few things...

Are you looking at english speaking schools?
Are you taking the TOEFL?
Are you looking to go into a math-intensive school (i.e. Chicago, MIT) or a more "soft skills" school - Harvard, Kellogg?

Of course, I'm considering english speaking schools, especially US schools.
Also, I took TOEFL, 283 (L29, S26, R30, AWA4.5)
As for the last question, I have yet to spend more time on school selection.
I have little idea about characteristics of each school, because I cocentrated on GMAT so far.

If it is not going to affect your application schedule, why not take another test to try to boost it up? The good thing is that you already have a good overall score. However, it will be challenging (but not impossible) to push it up further.

GMAT is not the only criteria. I got with 650 (very bad balance, top Verbal, 70 percentile Quant) to INSEAD and Darden ..

700 will open the door, you have to show more then

But not only focus on gmat, but will write some essays simultaneously.
