As you pointed out, doing more and more questions without understanding why you made a mistake in the first place is of no use.

You should spent as much (or more) time on analyzing your correct/incorrect answers than the actual times it takes to solve the questions. Once you get into the mode of knowing your weaknesses and mistakes, you have a much better chance of improving quickly.
As for Kaplan, it is not the best one out there; by most suggestions, OG11 + OG Verbal Review + MGMAT is the best combination when it comes to verbal.

Thank you for your information. Realistically I had spent a month and usually just doing kaplan questions and i think my problem is rather than trying to figure out where I went wrong I kept trying to do more questions and hoping I'd get better. I was hoping to start for the Oct 06 session but I guess the bschool will not consider with such a low score :(

I was just using Kaplan, I have just ordered the OG 11 and hopefully that wil help for the rewrite.

Any thoughts?

Realistically, I put in about 4 hours a day including weekends just going through practice sets of questions through Kaplan. I am starting to realize, Kaplan isn't the best bang for their buck so I ordered OG 11.

I am going to redo the test Jan next and reapply for May/Sep 07!

thanks
