Hi lordtyrell10,

First off, a 710/Q46 is an outstanding Score, so you could comfortably apply to any Schools that interested you (even if you won't be applying for several years). That having been said, Finance Programs tend to place a greater emphasis on an Applicant's Quant Scaled Score - and a Q46 (while a solid performance) won't impress anyone. That score implies that you were great on the "math" questions that you saw on Test Day, but you missed out on a block of 'strategy-based' points.

Since you have some specific Programs in mind - and you're a few years away from when you would apply - you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that you should work on in the coming years.

There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

If you do choose to retest, then we have to examine how you were studying for the Quant section before. Once you've decided on whether to retest or not, you should post back here (or you can PM me directly) and we can talk through your study options going forward.
