First, my breakdown of GMATprep mock scores:
Mock #3: 750 - Q49 V42
Mock #4: 760 - Q50 V42
Mock #5: 760 - Q50 V44
Mock #6: 770 - Q50 V45 (#1 and #2 were retaken, so didn't consider them as accurate predictors of my score)
Real GMAT (taken in South Korea): 720 - Q50 V38
After getting an unexpectedly low score on my GMAT exam (consistent 760s on mock tests and 720 on the real exam), I realized that because of the nervousness, I sometimes find myself reading the same sentence over and over, especially in RC.
I noticed that bb recommended a 'revolutionary' RC strategy from Rhyme, and it does indeed seem drastically different from other RC strategies I've seen so far. Has any of you tried this method and found it effective? I was wondering if rhyme's strategy would eliminate the problem of becoming dyslexic during the exam loll
As a side note: I found it interesting that regardless of my preparation for Quant (e.g. even/odd, inequalities, DS strategies, etc.) my Quant scores never changed. Obviously getting a Q51 requires some kind of talent, but I found it disappointing that I couldn't hit that Q51 despite the fact that I scored Q50 before I even started studying for GMAT haha
