Hi SB0895

I’m sorry to hear about your GMAT. Unless I am misreading things here, it seems as though you are pretty solid in quant but verbal is really holding you back. That said, would you like some general advice on how to improve your GMAT verbal skills? Also, you may find it helpful to read the following articles:

Hi SB0895,

I'm really sorry to hear that your recent attempt did not go as well as hoped. The pacing issue that you described during this latest attempt seems almost identical to the one you faced when you took your 2nd GMAT ten months ago (last December). The similarity of your last 3 Official Scores also heavily implies that you continue to 'respond' to the Official GMAT in the same general ways. I have no doubt that you worked through lots of practice questions over the last year, but there is clearly a fundamental difference between how you take your practice CATs/mocks and how you handle Test Day. There are almost certainly factors that are 'inflating' your practice Scores and other factors that are impeding your performance on the Official Exam - and until we define those issues (and properly fix them), it's likely that you will continue to score in the high-500s.

Considering how long you have been studying, I suggest that you take a week 'off' from the GMAT. You won't forget any of your GMAT knowledge in that time - and you will need to 'clear your head' a bit before you can make the big strides forward that you need to make to score higher.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
