sofia2288,
Your system, as you mentioned rightly, is very old. Also you haven't updated new OS. macOS Catalina 10.15.3 is old. Last Catalina OS was 10.15.7. Latest macOS is Big Sur 11.1. Didn't you think of updating your OS ?

For your information: Proctored Exams are compatible with devices upgrading to macOS 11 Big Sur

Your current issue is related to PSI Secure Browser i.e. the person used was not allowed to use a CAMERA because granular restrictions were started in Catalina OS.

For Catalina MAC OS users, before launching the Secure Browser App for online exams, please check your settings to allow camera sharing.

1) Open 'Security and Privacy' under your 'System Preference'.
2) Click the lock icon on the bottom lefthand side of the window.
3) Click on the 'Privacy tab', and then click on the gold lock icon.
4. In the lefthand column, click on 'Camera' and 'Screen Recording' to manage application permissions.
5. Ensure the box next to 'PSI Secure Browser' is checked.
6.Click Microphone > Allow PSI Secure Browser
7.Click Accessibility > Allow PSI Secure Browser
8.Click Screen Recording > Allow PSI Secure Browser
9.Click the Lock Icon to make changes
10. Your machine must then be restarted. Please click 'Quit Now; Restart your Mac.
11. After doing so, relaunch the PSI Secure Browser. If prompted to allow your Camera and/or microphone, click ‘OK’.

PSI Score Browser issue(Catalina MAC OS Camera Sharing) is not specific to GMAT online test, it is a common feature which all online Proctored examinees faces. Change your system settings as mentioned above and you will be good to go.

PS: Proctors may not be computer engineers, so they may not be able to fix any issue related to examinees machine.

sofia2288,

After reading your post, I checked on MBA.com whether they have mentioned about Web Camera security measures. Please read this post which clearly says - Mac users may need to allow OnVUE within their ‘System Preferences: Security & Privacy: Privacy’ settings for Microphone, Camera, Automation and Input Monitoring.

Here is the link to read more about system requirements. https://www.mba.com/exams/gmat-online/p ... quirements

Hey @AlicieSierra! Sorry for replying a bit late. So regarding what you wrote above, you are correct that Mac users must absolutely check this on their Settings and make sure they have allowed access to OnVUE. But, I just want to point out that this was the reason I experienced my issue as I did allow camera, microphone, etc. access to the software. It's probably to do with the current Mac version I had (macOS Catalina (version 10.15)). Unfortunately, I can't be certain of this as OnVUE is not really willing to provide more technical information beyond what they have already posted online. If I find out more I will post it here.

EDIT: Thank you for what you wrote above by the way! After re-reading it, maybe it might have been because I did not restart my computer after I allowed access in my privacy settings.
