Hi Friends,

I took gmat in oct 2005 got 600(q 50 v 21 )

my last powerprep score was 720!!! so i was very dejected..

but this time i want to give my full attention to Gmat specially Verbal section.. so please advice

how should i go about it. Thanks

Since you scored 21V, that probably means that you need to start with the basics. I would suggest picking a guidebook that starts by teaching the basic concepts because you will need to get comfortable with those before you can think about strategies for each of the question types.

With a 50Q, you have a good chance to move your overall score up quickly if you can just lock down the basics in V.

Yes... i understand i can increase my score many fold.... by gettin comfortable with Verbal

so wht should be my Plan of Action for verbal...

Well, my background left me with a much different starting point for verbal, so maybe another member could comment on getting a good foundation for verbal. I have read a lot of good things about the Manhattan GMAT books for verbal preparation. I used the OG11 and the old paper tests myself and found them to be very helpful. The SC1000 and CR1000 available here on this site are great if you want to go through a lot of questions. And the verbal forum here at GMATclub is great. If you participate, read the explanations given by others and write explanations of your own, you will start to see the pattern of things that they look for on the real thing.

I would highly recommend NOT using the Kaplan guides for verbal. Their questions are not structured like the real thing, and the question logic is often flawed, and not representative of what you need to know for the real thing.

abt my past Gmat exp. i had lots of Material but had 2 mnths to study it.. so maybe could'nt hone my skills.

How Should I start? I hav
1.PSahil's and Spidey's notes for SC.
2. 1000 RC,1000 SC,1000 CR
3.Princeton's material
4.OG 11
5.Princeton' cd


how should i go about doing my prep. which book is best for fundamentals .
