- Gmat-Club problems/answers and strategies
- MGMAT basic set
- OG + OG Review books
- 4 Official GMAT Practice Tests
- TTP Diagnostic Quant (done in week 4, somehow. Scored medium for initial level of preparedness to reach 40+
- Eric Clowes on YT
- Avi Gutman's free YT-videos. I found them posted by him in problem threads. Super helpful
- SC-Checklist of Gmat-Club
My advantages:
- Being able to entertain a part-time job studying Gmat. Other part: interests and recreation
- English proficiency (second language)
Best advice I picked up:
- Keep an error log. Note down the problem codes, so you can easily search for each problem in the OG-Gmat.wiley.(desktop-)app. Then feed a search engine the problem’s text and find awesome solutions on here
- Fill those gaps. The quant book I consulted covered maybe 80-90% of the things addressed on this forum. You fill them by doing problems in your weak areas while reading up on theory for solutions not obvious to you. I mostly used Gmat-Club problems for this
- Eff convoluted OG solutions you don't grasp. Skip them and look for something better
- Think of a hypothetical answer while reading the CR prompt
- Take 5 seconds to think - meaning no notes - before diving into a quant problem
- Eat and sleep in a healthy way
- Putting some rules/ideas on flash cards. About 20-30
- Summarize all your key quant/verbal insights on sheets. For verbal I just noted down some phrases. Like it is datet at, not dated on
- Understand when to run. You run when a problem comes from a weak area and you have no idea or cannot finish it in about 2 mins
My tentative advice and Things I did for better or worse:
- Redoing quant errors in practice tests before the next (practice) test
- Until I finished the Quant book and most of the Verbal book (Week 2 or 3) I just did MGMAT chapter end problems. Probably for the worse
- Taking the day off after completing a practice test. I had/took the time
- Working 3h daily on average
- Redoing errors on the same day next week
- Viewing GMAT as a game
Study plan:
- 9 weeks
- Heavy lifting reserved for two days per week
I took the test yesterday.
