I think most of us pay more attention to the quantitative part than to the verbal part of the GMAT. At least in my case. And that is a mistake. Both parts count on the final score. And it is much easier to improve with a few classes given by someone with experience on the verbal part than on the quantitative part. Because the verbal part is not based only on knowing the grammar of English, but on knowing what GMAT considers correct and what it doesn´t, regardless of the rules we use on a daily basis.
In my first mock test on MBA.com I got a good Q50 and a not so good V28 for a total of 650. So it was clear to me where I needed to improve. Especially because English is not my mother tongue.
This summer I participated in the GMAT Club Olympics and was able to choose a prize. It was clear to me that I wanted live classes rather than online courses because in those I can solve my doubts at the moment and also force myself to follow a routine.
So I chose "Scoreleap GMAT Batch Sessions". And it has been a good choice. Kalyan's classes in SC give me the necessary rules so that the sentence is "GMATically correct" as he says. In addition, all the classes are focused on achieving the best possible score (not the perfect score) which includes managing the time very well, specially knowing how to skip a question when getting stuck on it. In the SC questions I am now achieving 80-85% correct answers using one minute at most, so my improvement is remarkable.
In RC, which is what we are doing now, his FIRE approach method (
https://www.scoreleap.in/MasterFIREApproachtoAchieve95) takes me to "almost find out" the questions that can be asked later. Not having to understand each sentence of the text saves a lot of time that in the real GMAT exam I will surely need later.
In the quantitative classes Marmik also gives me some "shortcuts" to solve certain questions letting me to complete most of the questions in less than 2 minutes.
In short, I am happy with my choice and I recommend Scoreleap for those who want a personalized attention and an improvement in their score. I think that I am improving my weak points and I hope that in my next GMAT exam I will get a good score.
