Scored 570 only :/

Question

I gave my first GMAT exam in April 2021. Scored 450 ( low on both verbal and quant). I gave my 2nd attempt today morning and scored 570 ( Q 40 & V 28! ) Having studied for the past 6 months. My verbal is generally strong as compared to quant ( tho I'm having doubts now. ) My quant could have been better, had I been quicker with the mid-level questions. And verbal has left me shocked.

I usually scored 36-39 in practice tests but I wasn't expecting a V 28 at all.

I know RC messed up the score however I am still at a loss regd CR & SC. Are there any good colleges in India accepting 570 gmat score with 4+ yrs work ex? Posted from my mobile device

You've made some nice progress, and from what you said, I get the impression that, on a good day, you'd score even higher.

So, I encourage you to keep going. The more you prepare effectively, the higher you'll score.

I am afraid  no  Deeksha. If you can push the score to around 650, you may have a chance in schools such as GLIM and SP Jain.

Dear deekshaRaina,
improving your Quant score to 47+ you can get overall score 620+ even with the same Verbal score. 
I would suggest to take TTP course because its well-structured study plan and unique approach already have helped me to ameliorate my Quant score. Weather you need to recall some concepts or practice weakness areas TTP study plan can guide you to do so. You can take its diagnostic test to check where you are.

I know RC messed up the score however I am still at a loss regd CR & SC. If the practice tests were Official Mocks, it's possible the actual exam score was an outlier. Perhaps time management was a huge issue. You mention RC was a problem so that may have been a large factor. Here's someone who improved their V31 to a V40 in about 30 days . Although we did 6 hours of solving approach tutoring, they used a variety of resources in their total prep journey and mention some tips you may quickly leverage.

To start, raising a 450 to a 570 is a great achievement - and it shows that you have the capacity to learn and improve. Since you have not named any specific Schools/Programs, it's tough to say how likely a 570 would be at helping you to earn an invitation to any individual School - but since the Average Score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years, you would likely need to earn a much higher GMAT Score to get into a highly-ranked Program.

If you have any specific Programs that interest you, then you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement (and the more time that you have to act on that advice, the better). Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) Over the last 6 months, how many hours did you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

If you took your Official GMAT at a Test Center, then you might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.
