Hello All,
I attempted my 2nd GMAT (Online) two days ago and scored a 720 (Q48 V41 IR8) - Shoutout
Target Test Prep . I was quite pleased with the result as it was an improvement from my first attempt 6 weeks prior (700 - Q44 V41 IR 6 AW5).
This morning, I received an email from GMAC Test Security telling me that my results have been flagged for an administrative review and it will take up to 20 Business Days to get my results. This is not ideal as I want to apply for R1 (First week of September deadline for my target schools). This obviously comes at a shock because I had a fantastic experience with my proctor, and everything went very smoothly.
The only incident that comes to mind was that during the Quant section, she heard construction noises outside my window (I live on the 10th floor but next to a development site) and requested a full room scan. With her blessing, we proceeded only after the room scan. My blinds were drawn as per her instructions since the beginning of the exam. Otherwise, the exam went very smoothly and she was very nice.
Needless to say, I am quite concerned and deflated as I have studied hard for this result. Therefore, I have a few questions:
What should I do next - Should I respond, or wait?
Can anyone share their experiences with an admin review and how it went?
Any insight into why this "flagging" happened? What happens during an administrative review of online results?
What is the worst case scenario for me here? Is there an opportunity for appeal?
Thank you in advance
