Hello all,
I have a fairly weird situation and need help desperately. I am a first year student (in my second sem) at a top-20 B school. I am not comfortable providing school details in a public forum for now. SO, please bear with me.
I took the GMAT 2 years back and ended up with a lowly 570 (IIRC, Q41 V28). Inspite, of my score, I tried my best to focus on all other areas of my application and managed to get in.
Now, I have consulting as a serious career option in mind. Most top consulting firms require you to put the GMAT on your resume. I know that my GMAT score will be a huge show stopper for me from a consulting career perspective. So, Even though it may sound weird, I have decided to take the GMAT again.
The last time around, I used OG 10 and princeton review. Thats all i did and i never finished the OG. As you can see, my 6 week prep last time bombed badly.
Now, I am seeking help with a proper study plan. My target score is 700. So, How do I improve 130 points ? Any pointers would be highly appreciated ?

As for a specific study plan: Spend some time looking through this forum, look at old posts, there are about ten thousand study plans, since people usually ask the question you just asked all the time.
My broad advice: Take as many prep tests as you can, in other words take as many CAT's, at least five, before you take the test. Doing tons of practice problems is great for getting to know the material, but taking simulated tests is the only way to prepare for pacing yourself, and getting a feel for the real thing.

Find some people in your class with high GMAT's and ask them for tutoring in return for something you can offer
