What does it count for? How do you prepare for it? How much effort should I be dedicating to it? I've totally ignored it to this point, but I guess I should be starting to pay attention, huh?!

Dont kill yourself over it - write 4-5 paragraphs, disagree with the argument in the first 2-3, then admit it could be compelling if the author had included x and y...then begin the last paragraph with IN CONCLUSION.
Repeat for the issue.
Very easy, check for spelling errors etc and dont spend too much time thinking on them, save yourself for the Q and V.

oasis, i was confused about this portion a little bit too...if it's that simple and unimportant, then why do they have it on the test? i feel so insecure taking it that lightly. please explain! thanks.
