Hello All. I recently gave 2 attempts of GMAT Focus (in a 20 days timeframe).
I experienced a very puzzling scenario is Verbal section.
Attempt 1: Verbal Scaled score of 82 and 79th percentile

Attempt 2: Verbal Scaled score of 84 and 91st percentile

Yes GMAT is not a standardised test, and accuracy is not the only parameter. But getting the intial questions wrong versus getting the latter questions wrong had no impact.
Moreover from my mocks, it seemed like Verbal section never really fluctuated unlike the Quant and DI sections. This could of course be due to the how the Verbal section is, i.e. there are no numbers or Math based questions which could sometimes be dependent on chance. The scope of doing a silly mistake or simple miscalculation kind of errors are rare in Verbal.
What do you think? Is the GMAT FE algorithm too drastic a change from earlier versions?
