I recently attempted the GMAT Focus Editon for the first time and got my score within two days. I scored
615 overall (Equivalent to 650 on the 10th Edition), and here I am sharing my experience, and asking for College Suggestions.
I took the Online test since my city town doesn't have a center, and traveling on Exam day is not fun. The proctor allowed a Physical Whiteboard, two marks, a duster, and a transparent water bottle, and asked me to keep my phone behind me, to be visible throughout the test. The room was covered with White Sheets/ Cloth, and they asked me to walk around the entire room - 360 degrees, even below the desk. I was asked to show photos of the back side and bottom of the Laptop clicked live with my phone, and through screen share I showed them the Activity Monitor. There was only
ONE break allowed after the completion of either section.
The test itself was not very difficult, but the penalty for unattempted questions was very heavy.
Quant - 83, Correct - 15, Incorrect - 6.Verbal - 85, Correct - 19, Incorrect - 4.Data Insights - 73, Correct - 10, Incorrect - 9, Unanswered - 1.*My brother also got 10 correct in DI, and 7 wrong, but couldn't attempt 3, and got DI62. So, the penalty for 2 unattempted questions is 11 points, seems unfair. By this calculation, had I attempted the last one (I was on it for a minute, but panicked), I would've had DI78, and Overall 645.*I do not know which colleges can I realistically get into with this score and if should I send this to Schools like
ESCP, ESSEC, EDHEC, or not.
