Hi all, I recently gave my GMAT FE and scored a 705 and wanted to share my experience with you.
I am a mechanical engineer working in the oil Petroleum industry for the last 5 years in India. Around the start of this year, I decided to go for an MBA to broaden my horizons.
I started my prep for GMAT in June of this year. Initially, I studied from the
GMAT whiz course. However, I wanted a course where I could solve a plethora of questions to drill down on my basics. I was searching regarding the same on the GMAT Club forum when I came across TTP. I would like to mention that I scored 635 on my first mock and 705 in the official exam.
GMAT Exam experienceI gave the test at the test center which was managed very professionally by the Pearson team. I was given two scratch pads for rough work. I attempted the exam in Q, DI and Verbal order without any breaks.
Q90Being an engineer, quant was always my strength and I have always scored 88-90 in my mocks. However, the practice I was able to gain on the TTP platform really helped in improve my speed
V82I would to attribute both
GMATWhiz and TTP was creating such a detailed and comprehensive module for the verbal section.
DI83This is where I improved the most in my GMAT journey. The variety of questions that I solved on the TTP platform helped with understand what to read (and more importantly what not to read) in DI type questions to increase speed and accuracy.
I would say that Practice, Practice and Practice is the mantra to crack GMAT.
Hope this helped, please feel free to ask any question.
