Without TTP I would have never been able to seriously study for the GMAT! I work a 9-5 and as we all know, finding the time, energy, and motivation do mentally-taxing tasks after work is a struggle. I initially bought the official GMAT prep books, but I found that the physical and online study tools were not structured enough for me so for a few months I studied extremely sporadically and made little progress.
Then, a friend of mine shared TTP with me. Initially I was hesitant because I didn’t want to spend the money when the study books were cheaper, but after looking at the features like the custom study plan and detailed question explanations I was pretty much sold. (Also there was a free trial to confirm I liked it!)
My Study Period
There is just something about a calendar and study todo list that is so motivating to me. I kept opening up TTP every day because I knew my study session for that day was planned out and I would be making real progress by completing the tasks.
Because I come from an engineering background, I didn’t need as much focus on learning the quant lessons, and TTP allowed me to tune my study plan to this. I was able to get my reps in with the quantitative questions and could review materials when needed! I will say the one topic I’ve always struggled with is probability and for the first time in my life (!) TTP taught it in a way that made sense to me and by the end of my studying I was acing the probability questions!!!! The other special thing about TTP Quant is that they teach you some “tricks” you can do to really speed up some of the quant questions ~ I don’t think I saw similar in the study books.
For the verbal sections, the question explanations were especially helpful for me and the tips and reassurance they gave around how to grow stronger with the verbal questions were very motivating. A lot of times before I would kind of guess my way to a correct answer, but after TTP I felt like I was genuinely able to break down every sentence of the questions and passages.
I will admit for data insights, I didn’t spend much time going over this section, but the data sufficiency questions were well integrated into the quantitative questions so I was still well prepared. I am sure if I had increased my reps on multi source reasoning, I would have been able to score on par with my verbal and quantitative sections.
Also, the 24/7 chat availability was very helpful and I appreciated the timeliness. A week before I took my test, I realized my subscription ended 3ish days before the test date, and when I reached out to TTP, they gave me a free 3 day extension which I am incredibly grateful for!
Test Day
Going into the test, I felt really sure of my knowledge but I still had general test-taking anxiety. Honestly, in the test, I felt like I was moving too slowly and underperforming. But looking back, I realize I was spending more time on each question than in initial practice tests because I actually knew how to answer every question! So even though I was moving slower, my accuracy was much higher. And getting my score report back confirmed that.

I am so grateful that I was referred to TTP. It was the perfect accountability tool and the study materials help build your knowledge up to pro level no matter what level you’re starting at!
