Why I Chose TTP: I found TTP (Target Test Prep) while researching prep options online. What stood out to me was their 715+ score guarantee and the structure of their program. As someone who generally tests well, I wasn’t looking for flashy hacks—I wanted a system that would keep me accountable, challenge me where I was weak, and not waste time on areas I’d already mastered.

My Starting Point
I took a diagnostic and quickly realized that Quant was the problem. I was doing fine on Verbal and DI, but my Quant accuracy was all over the place, and I didn’t have a consistent approach. I needed more than just a question bank—I needed a framework and some coaching to rebuild how I was thinking about GMAT math.

The Class
I joined the February–May online class with Chris, which was about two sessions per week. Chris was excellent—he’s clear, methodical, and doesn’t just teach you how to solve problems, but how to think like the GMAT. The class structure gave me a weekly rhythm that made it easier to stick with the program, especially on busy weeks. We’d cover specific topics, walk through tricky questions, and get strategy tips that helped me pace myself and manage tougher questions under pressure.

Quant – The Big Win
Before TTP, Quant felt like a liability. I wasn’t confident, struggled with word problems and number properties, and kept running out of time. By the end of the course, it became a strength. I was regularly hitting 90th+ percentile in practice and felt confident going into test day. TTP’s approach is very thorough. You can’t just skim—you actually master the material. At times it felt repetitive, but that’s what made the difference. They teach you to slow down, think critically, and avoid careless mistakes.

Verbal & DI
TTP is known for its Quant curriculum, but Verbal and DI were better than expected. Their practice sets felt realistic, especially for DI. I didn’t spend as much time on Verbal as I probably should have, but I still walked away with an 83rd percentile score thanks to the techniques from the course.

The Result
On test day, I felt calm and prepared. The real exam mirrored the logic and pacing I’d seen in TTP practice sets. Quant had some curveballs, but I didn’t panic—Chris had prepped us well for that. DI and Verbal were fair, and I had a clear strategy for how to approach each section.
I finished with a 665 GFE (Q85, V83, DI81)—a solid result that puts me in a solid position for deferred MBA apps. TTP got me there.

Final Thoughts

TTP isn’t a quick-fix course—it’s structured, deep, and demanding. But if you commit to it, especially with the live class format, it works. For me, the biggest difference was structure and accountability. Having a set schedule, live instruction, and a clear study path made it easy to stay consistent.
If you’re a motivated test taker who needs to shore up weak areas and wants a proven system with real support, I’d recommend TTP without hesitation.

Hi BLudlow,

Really appreciate you sharing this. It’s awesome to see how the structure and depth of the TTP course, especially the live class and detailed Quant approach, helped you build confidence and consistency. That 665 GFE is a strong result and it’s clear your hard work with TTP paid off!
