Hi everyone!I took the GMAT Focus 2 weeks ago and wanted to share my prep experience using
Target Test PrepEnglish isn’t my first language, so I needed a platform that provided clarity, structure, and detailed explanations.
I started with the 5-day free trial in December to explore the platform and see if it matched my learning style. During those days, I had full access to all the tools, and I quickly realized that TTP had everything I needed to study effectively and stay motivated.
Since the beginning, I studied around
25 hours per week. I followed the TTP
study plan for most of my preparation, which helped me build confidence day by day and clearly identify areas where I needed to focus more.
With my engineering background, I initially felt comfortable with Quant, but the
chapter structure and strategy tips helped me solve problems faster and target my weaker areas. The
chapter tests at the end of each section were particularly helpful — they showed me when I was underestimating question types and helped me improve my accuracy under time pressure.
For Verbal, the
tips and explanations were key to improving. I had never studied Critical Reasoning before, and TTP helped me develop a more
structured way of thinking and approach Reading Comprehension passages with better understanding and focus.
The
Data Insights section was straight to the point but packed with practice questions and chapter tests that helped me get used to the
format and pacing of each question type.
When I had completed about
80% of the course, I started to alternate the study plan with
targeted reviews, focusing on my weak chapters and especially on the
easy and medium questions I got wrong (my goal was to master those levels). This approach helped me stay confident and consistent all the way to test day.
TTP also has a chapter dedicated to
test-day strategy, including
advice on managing anxiety and building confidence, which I found incredibly helpful in the final days before the exam.
In the end, I took the exam and scored
715 (Q90, V85, D81) on my
first attempt!
I'm very grateful for the TTP platform and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a structured and effective way to prepare for the GMAT Focus.
